I am Pilar Mateos aka Pilli or Pi. I am a self-taught artist originally from Spain. Currently based in East London, and I look to take my artwork around the globe.

I bought my first coil machine in 2018 but I didn’t start to touch skin until 2020. I tried working different styles until 2023, where I found myself needing something different.

After many different 1:1 mentorships with great artists in different countries, I perfected my technique and starting to develop my own style, where I feel I perform at my best artistically.

By specialising in Textured tattoos, I blend Bold texturised lines and Fine Strokes together, combining them in a unique way to create beautiful pieces for all skin types and bodies.

I find my inspirations mostly in the Ordinary living, Nature and Wildlife, the Magick of Alchemy, Spiritual, Mystical and even Religious creations.

I believe the acceptance of our vulnerability is powerful and by that reflection, I created my own style that gives an Imperfect, human touch.
