My name is Pilar Mateos, but most people know me as Pilli or Pi. I’m a self-taught tattoo artist originally from Spain, now based in East London. My dream is to take my artwork across the globe, connecting with people through meaningful tattoos.

I bought my first coil machine in 2018, but my tattooing journey truly began in 2020. In the early years, I explored a variety of styles, seeking my artistic voice. By 2023, I realized I needed to create something different—something that truly reflected who I am.

Through numerous 1:1 mentorships with incredible artists across different countries, I refined my skills and discovered my unique style. This process of growth and exploration has shaped the artist I am today.

I specialize in textured tattoos, blending bold, texturized lines with fine, intricate strokes. My work is designed to complement all skin types and body shapes, ensuring each piece feels unique and personal.

My inspirations are drawn from everyday life, nature, wildlife, alchemy, spirituality, mysticism, and religious artistry. These influences allow me to craft tattoos that feel timeless, meaningful, and deeply connected to my clients.
